Four Dale Challenge Reveals Yorkshire Dales as a Mountain Biking Hotspot.

Yorkshire based Mountain Bike holiday company Outathaway Bike Tours have recently designed a new challenge for adventure holiday enthusiasts. The Four Dale Challenge pits the mountain biker against the rugged yet beautiful hills and valleys of the Yorkshire Dales revealing some of the most breathtaking scenery in the UK.

Based in Richmond, North Yorkshire Outathaway Bike Tours was founded by local riders who passionately ride the surrounding countryside and know the best routes. Outathaway was formed partly as a business, which allows them to ride for a living, and partly to open the beauty and potential of Mountain Biking in the Yorkshire Dales to the wider world.

Route Director, Chris Atkinson, reveals "The Four Dale Challenge has been designed to challenge the rider whilst touring the awe inspiring countryside." These tours are self guided, so you or your group can ride at your own pace rather than keeping up with someone else.

Although based in the UK and directed mainly at UK city dwellers, Chris believes that anyone from around the world would benefit from such a holiday. He adds "there is only so much sitting by a pool and burning in the sun that people can take. I've done it myself but now I am bored with it and want something a bit more active. The beauty about this is that you can become fit or fitter whilst on holiday. Some of the places the Four Dale Challenge takes you are so remote that it almost feels spiritual. I know it's a cliché but you really do feel ‘at one with nature.'"

The Four Dale Challenge is available all year round and can be tailored to anyone's needs whether expert or beginner. Always starting in the 1000 year old town of Richmond, looked over by the imposing castle of 1187 this is as much a sight seeing holiday as an adventure break.
