The Fenix SLX Disc is Ridley's top 'all-round' bike. The high-modulus carbon layup consists of 60/50/40-ton fibers. For the 2018 model, Ridley trimmed a bit of weight and made it stiffer. Equipped with disc brakes, it is ready to conquer everything in its path no matter the weather conditions or terrain. To compensate for the use of disc brakes, Ridley made the frame as light as possible without compromising its handling qualities. The lowered seat stays that compensate for the absence of caliper brake bridge increase the frame’s stiffness for that extra boost in power-transfer.

The bike is equiped with the iconical Ridley Diamond Shape. The stiffness of the headtube and the bottom bracket is increased with 5%, in comparison with the Fenix SL.
“We put the chainstay a little bit lower. This gives the bike a perfect mix of endurance characteristics and power transferring. That’s what our athletes expect from the Fenix. Combine this with a leading tire pressure up to 30mm and disc brakes and you know immediately what the new Fenix SLX stands for, a modern all-round race bike”, continues Kristiansen.
