The SAVA Warwinds 3.0 uses a high quality Japanese carbon fiber frame. This frame curves in several areas adding to the space age look of this bike. The frame is a combination of grey, black and silver with some branding on several areas. The bike weighs a cool 9.6kgs so it’s one of the lightest reviewed to date. With such a lightweight road bike you can be sure you’re not dragging extra weight with you when travelling up hills and guarantees a power efficient ride. The frame isn’t the only area of the bike that is made from carbon fiber, the fork and seat post are both carbon fiber and go to show that the bike was designed with minimum weight in mind.
The dropped handlebars on the SAVA Warwinds 3.0 are made from aluminum and feature the Shimano Sora 3000 derailleur shifters linked to the Shimano Sora 18 speed derailleur gear system. This gives the rider full control over the gearing mechanism and offers smooth transitioning between gears. The SAVA Warwinds 3.0 road bike come with aluminum wheels with 40mm double walled rims. The bike does not come with pedals so you will need to source these from somewhere else.
As this bike is designed for advanced users perhaps they take the position that the serious rider would not be happy with generic pedals. It’s difficult to say but well worth noting you’ll need to buy some, however don’t worry as they can be picked up for a small sum of money. The saddle provided is an ultra thin leather saddle, it’s comfortable to sit on and adjustable to allow the rider to find the best position for them. Overall the body of this bike is phenomenal and really goes to show what you can get in terms of materials used and quality components if you’re willing to part with the cash.
The brakes on the SAVA Warwinds 3.0 road bike are very responsive and offer the rider exactly what they need when engaged. The bike quickly comes to a halt due to the combination with high quality tires on the bike. The brakes are V brakes which are a side-pull version of cantilever brakes. As they are V brakes you’ll need to keep an eye on the brake pads to make sure they’re in good condition as you go but if configured correctly and aligned centrally they should last you a long time if you avoid excessively hard braking.
This bike comes with some really nice tires. The SAVA Warwinds 3.0 creators decided to avoid the usual pattern of providing ‘good enough’ tires and letting the owner upgrade if they wish and instead bring Michelin 700c x 25c Dynamic Sport tires as standard with the SAVA Warwinds 3.0 road bike. The traction on these tires is great, they’re designed to give good grip but avoid unnecessary drag, after all this is a lightweight racing road bike after all. They achieve this aim well and respond well to corners and braking without causing the rider to work harder on flats or hills.
The saddle on the SAVA Warwinds 3.0 road bike along with the dropped handlebars combine to give the rider a very comfortable position especially when both can be adjusted to suit the individual. Road bikes aren’t great for comfort due to the lack of suspension however with these quality sports tires, saddle and handlebars they’ve given it a good go and somewhat achieved a good ride comfort, especially on flat smooth surfaces. The fluid gear changes also help avoid unnecessary jolts when shifting gears which in turn adds again to the riders overall experience on the bike.
This bike is a favourite here, it comes with 3 years warranty on the frame and 6 months warranty on the components and is available in blue, orange or red if you’re not so keen on the grey shown here. We think it’s a winner but what do you think?

State Bicycle Fixed Gear Speed Bike
Not many road bikes come in bright yellow. However the State Bicycle fixed gear speed bike certainly does. This bike is a celebration of colour and you can’t help but smile at its simplistic yet charming design.
The State Bicycle fixed gear speed bike has a sturdy 22″ steel frame and a flip-flop rear hub allowing the rider to ride on a fixed gear or a single-speed. The bike has and adjustable yellow and black saddle that matches the frame of the bike in terms of colour. The bikes frame is bright yellow, it’s handlebars, saddle mount and pedal system all in black. Although the bike doesn’t take a conventional approach in it’s colour scheme it’s easy to see it’s charm and character. The bike comes with black plastic pedals as standard. It’s worth mentioning that the bike is available in a less flamboyant colour scheme where the frame of the bike is primarily white, however even with this design the adjustable saddle is bright green so you still get some burst of colour with this variety as well. The bike weighs in at 14kgs and therefore is in contention with most road bikes despite being made of steel rather than the more common alloy material used in road bikes.
State Bicycle have added brakes to this model of their bike to allow it to meet safety regulations for road use. They have attached V brakes at the front and rear of the bike and these seem to be sufficient to provide the response and braking power needed to stop the bike safely and quickly.
The first thing to point out about the tyres on the State Bicycle fixed gear speed bike is their colour. Blue, a rare choice of colour when it comes to road bike tyres. These Wanda 700c x 25c tyres are an interesting combo to the bright yellow wheel rims and frame of the bike.
The bike is amazingly comfortable to ride. This bike is a head turner so expect plenty of looks, after all it is bright yellow with blue tyres. The bike’s seat is also surprisingly comfortable and the combination of the bikes components result in a smooth ride. This bike could easily be used for long journeys and there is very little chance of other road users not seeing you.
A beautifully individual bike, very different to the usual road bikes seen on the market. The combination of simple design and bright colours is unique and a great show of creativity by State Bicycle. The only thing better than the bikes look and feel is the price.

Schwinn Continental Commuter Road Bike Review
Alloy Men’s Frame
The Schwinn Continental Commuter 7 Speed 700C Wheel Bicycle is built on a lightweight aluminum alloy frame and suspension fork. Unlike hybrid bikes with a steel frame, like the Retrospec Beaumont-7 Seven Speed Men’s Urban City Bike, an aluminum bike frame doesn’t rust, so you have one less thing to worry about.
The top tube of the frame is similar to a mountain bike frame. It’s sloped downwards towards the seat tube, which removes the obsession on having more clearance over the top tube.
700c Quick-Release Wheels
This has 700c wheels (approximately 27.5 inches in diameter). The front wheel comes with a quick-release lever to keep it in place.
The biggest advantage of having a quick-release wheel is you don’t need to bring any tools to remove it and fix a flat. You can also prevent it from being stolen and allows you to put the bike into your car.
Shimano 7-Speed Shifter and Rear Derailleur
Bicycles with more gears, like the 21-speed Schwinn Men’s Siro Hybrid Bicycle, obviously have a wider range of gear combinations to offer for various terrains. But, a 7-speed bike isn’t a bad choice, especially if you’re only going to ride on paved streets.
This Schwinn hybrid bike is equipped Shimano’s twist shifter on the right handlebar and rear derailleur. These components allow you to switch from one gear to another with precision and control as you ride over bumps, climb up hills, and other difficulties.
SURESTOP Brake System
Schwinn created the Continental Commuter 7 Speed 700C Wheel Bicycle with your safety in mind. That’s why they’ve came up with the SURESTOP brake system—to stop accidents in their tracks and for effortless braking.
Here’s what the SURESTOP braking system is all about:
- Instead of two brake levers controlling the front and back brakes, Schwinn bikes that have this brake system use only one lever to avoid confusion on the part of the rider.
- Once you squeeze the lever, the system equally distributes the stopping power to each wheel. This in turn stops the bike faster (but not abruptly), without sending you flying over the handlebars.
The Schwinn Continental Commuter 7 Speed 700C Wheel Bicycle weighs approximately 44 lbs and has the following dimensions: 70 inches (length) x 25.5 inches (width) x 43 inches (height). It fits riders who around 5’6” to 6” tall (or even up to 6’3” tall).
It already comes with fenders (full rear fender and partial front fender), rear rack, and rear warning reflective.
Entry-level hybrid bikes with a comfortable saddle is hard to come by. Some bikes have okay saddles, while others have too uncomfortable saddles.
This is probably one of the best reasons to get this Schwinn Continental bike. The seat is really comfortable, which is something you’ll need for long rides.
Good, Tough Men’s Bike
It’s not as strong as bikes made of steel or carbon fiber, but it’s good enough for an aluminum bike at this price range. It’s strong enough to support probably around 250 lbs to 330 lbs of rider and cargo weight.
We won’t take this off-road or racing, though. As far as its bike frame material goes, an aluminum bike like this one isn’t the easiest to repair. If you really want a more durable bike, make sure it’s made of titanium, carbon fiber, or steel.
Sloping Top Tube
The downward angle of the top tube makes it easier to mount and dismount. You also don’t have to get so preoccupied about getting the right inseam measurement.
This is a large bike that’s geared more towards male riders. If you’re a female rider, the 7-speed Schwinn Wayfarer 700c Women’s Hybrid Bike with a step-through frame could be a better fit for you.
With the Schwinn Continental Commuter 7 Speed 700C Wheel Bicycle, you can deal with hilly and flat city streets with the same efficiency. Get yours today!
Instructions Not Specific to This Bike
The instructions that come with this bike is practically useless because they’re not specific to this model and use a lot of foreign language. So, expect to spend a lot of time figuring out which instructions refer to this model.
On top of that, it doesn’t include tools that are needed to assemble this. Some of the tools you’ll need are a hex key set (small) and open-end wrench (for the pedals). You’ll also need a bicycle-specific mechanic’s lubricant and grease for the metal parts.
If you don’t have the patience or know-how on bike repairs, it’s best to let the professionals assemble this to save time.
Slow, Heavy Hybrid Bike
This thing weighs more than 40 lbs. Not light at all. So, it’s difficult to carry, won’t turn corners that fast, and could burn through the brake pads and tires faster.
But, you don’t need to completely shy away from heavy bicycles. Light and heavy bicycles are made for various types of riders.
Non-Traditional Braking System
The brakes aren’t adjusted right out of the box. Since they’re not the types of brakes that you commonly find in most bikes, you could spend way too much time figuring out how to adjust them.
Who Is It For?
As what we mentioned, the size and geometry of this bike is specific to male riders. It’s built for the paved roads of city or town, not for gravel roads or soft grounds. It’s for people who want to get fit, relax by taking leisure rides, and just enough gears to combat hills and flat, paved grounds equally well.
The Schwinn Continental Commuter 7 Speed 700C Wheel Bicycle usually rides well, shifts smoothly, and has a very comfy saddle. It has a few drawbacks, but nothing too serious that you want to return it (which could be a hassle). We wouldn’t recommend using this for off-road riding, racing, or long-distance commutes, though.
Safe stopping and reliable shifting—these are just two of the great things about the Schwinn Continental Commuter 7 Speed 700C Wheel Bicycle.
Retrospec Mantra V2 Urban Commuter Bike
Be Advised - Possibly Low StockBuy From Amazon.com
The Retrospec Mantra V2 has a steel frame that’s capable of supporting up to 250 pounds of rider weight. It has TIG-welded joints, which are strong and aesthetically pleasing.
The diamond-shaped frame may not be female-friendly (difficult to lift leg over the top tube), but it’s becoming more popular with women who want to deviate from the norm. This type of frame design is suitable for urban riding. Not to mention, its sporty, retro design is eye-catching.
Equipped with an alloy riser handlebar with Kraton rubber grips, you can enjoy your rides while being seated firmly and comfortably on a classic brown saddle. This bike can also barspin, while making sure you won’t hit your foot while turning the front wheel.
he Retrospec Mantra V2 Urban Commuter Bike has a double-sided hub, also called a flip-flop hub. In that way, you can use the bike as a fixie or a single-speed, depending on your riding style.
What’s the major difference between a single-speed bike and a fixie?
For those who don’t know, a fixie or fixed-gear bike is direct drive. Meaning, when you pedal forward, the wheels also roll forward. This eliminates the need for brakes because you can use your legs to stop or slow down the bike.
Meanwhile, a single-speed bicycle uses a rear flip-flop hub or double-sided hub, which lets you switch between fixed-gear and single-speed. A fixed gear allows riders to stop pedaling and freely coast, thus requiring brakes. (The Retrospec Mantra V2 has front and rear V-brakes from Promax.)
The Retrospec Mantra V2 Urban Commuter Bike is for people who want to try riding a fixie, but don’t to spend big on a fixie with suspension fork or better components. Hobby cyclists, recreational bicycle riders, and daily commuters could also use this to cruise around areas with almost no hills.
Most people find the Retrospec Mantra V2 Urban Commuter Bike as a road-worthy commuter bike for a budget-friendly price. With just a few upgrades and tweaking, you’ve got a bike that could offer years of service. In general, it’s a fun and decent bike for a good price.
